The GCC represents 28 member communities and 6 associate members in the Greater Crofton-Gambrills area, providing a forum for decision-making on a broad range of issues affecting the region. Founded in 1989 to provide a unified voice for Crofton during A.A. county’s comprehensive rezoning process, the GCC has since played a major role in the quality of life in the area, and participating in the creation of the new Crofton library, classroom wings on the middle and elementary schools, Candidate’s Night, the Development of the Small area plan and other developments considered detrimental to the quality of life in the area. All of these actives are done in cooperation with other community groups in the region. All residents are welcome to attend our meetings. Guest speakers addressing topics of interest and concern are generally invited to our meetings.
